Five Case Analyses of Shanghai Maritime Court Won National Awards

In November 2017, the Supreme People's Court held a seminar for national court system’s excellent case analyses of 2016 and 2017. Five case analyses of Shanghai Maritime Court were awarded.

Hunan ZOOMLION International Trade Co., Ltd. v. Shanghai GCL International Co., LTD for dispute over a contract of carriage of goods by sea"  written by Judge YANG Chan won second prize for 2016 national court system’s excellent case analyse.

Hengshun Shipping Co., Ltd. v. Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Co., Ltd. for guarantee contract dispute written by Judge ZHANG Liang, was awarded second prize for 2017 national court system’s excellent case analyse and the 4th young judges’ excellent case symposium.

Shaoxing County Sheke Textile Co., Ltd. v. ALL-WAYS Forwarding Co., Ltd. for dispute over a contract of carriage of goods by sea of Judge YANG Chan won second prize in the 2017 competition. Her another work Shanghai TOPFOR Logistics International Co., Ltd. v. Shanghai Xunlei Network Technology Co., Ltd. for dispute over a contract of carriage of goods by sea was placed a third.

The case of the dispute over ship insurance contract between Medcom Aswan Cement Co. and Tianan Property Insurance Co., Ltd. was co-authored by Judge ZHANG Liang and Judge Assistant GUO Can and won the excellent award in the 2017 competition.
